Smaller hotels designed for budgeted travellers.
The rooms are generally clean but basically furnished. In most of the hotels
the bathroom facilities are situated on each floor and are shared by many
users. Usually conveniently located to public transports and near affordable
attractions. Most of the hotels will not include breakfast or will not have
a restaurant on site, but reasonably inexpensive dining can be found nearby.

One Star  |
Typical accommodation with limited range of facilities and
services, but quite high standard of cleanliness throughout. En-suite facilities
can be found in most hotels, but bathrooms to share are not uncommon. Friendly
and courteous staff to give you the help and information you need to enjoy
your stay. Restaurant usually not available, but inexpensive restaurants
can be found nearby. Most of the hotels are located close to public transport
and reasonably close to major tourist attractions.

Two Star  or 2 star superior  |
Usually associated with small independent properties or branded
hotel chains offering good overnight accommodation with more comfortable
and better equipped bedrooms. All rooms with private facilities, colour
TV and telephone. A relatively straightforward range of services in personal
and friendly style. Restaurant available for breakfast, some hotels will
also have residents bar. Most of 2 star hotels are located close to transport,
major tourist attractions and relatively inexpensive restaurants. A lift
is normally available.

Three Star 
or
3 star superior  |
Usually larger establishments offering significantly greater
quality and range of facilities and services. Most hotels have quite spacious
public areas and bedrooms. All with en-suite facilities, colour TV, direct
dial telephone and hairdryer. Some will also provide tea and coffee facilities,
satellite channels, trouser press and Internet connections. More formal
style of service with a receptionist on duty and other staff responding
well to your needs and requests. Hotel restaurant opens for breakfast and
sometimes for lunch or dinner with room service usually available. All the
hotels feature residents bar with and lift to all floors. Laundry service
is usually available.

Four Star  or
4 Star Deluxe
